I have call safe or at least I did. I was waiting for an important call at a particular time but my phone did not ring, only missed call showed on my phone, TWICE. I used to answer a call from an unknown number and Talk Talk would monitor the call and ask me if I wanted the number to be connected, I no longer get that so I have had no alternative but to turn off call safe. Very disappointed as it makes me feel quite vunerable.

@swtc44, I completely understand how frustrating that must be, sometimes these things can happen when a number is not on your approved list, it might just be that you needed to add that hospital number on your list of approved numbers, I've added the link below to know more about how to manage call safe and ensure you don't have any issues with it. We never want you to feel unsafe or vulnerable in any way.

if you could maybe try turning call safe back on and adding the hospital number to your approved list and monitor to see if you have the same issue after adding it.

Unless they left a message when phoning, you wouldn't be notified.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

This was a call from a hospital and I had an appointment for the call, I was not even notified they were ringing.

I dont get many phone calls so I dont know if all is working since I switched off call safe. I have rung from my mobile and that call went through. The calls that didnt get through were hospital appointment calls which TT deemed were unreliable and not allowable. My phone didnt ring so I was not offered the option to take the call. Some months ago I had problems with what I now know are silent calls, every 20 minutes I had a missed call message and this went on for weeks.

@swtc44, I am really sorry that this has happened to you, we don't want you to feel that way. Before we proceed, has everything been working fine since you turned call safe off?

and did you experience this issue with any other calls apart from this one while you had callsafe on?

You only get the option if the caller actually leaves a message.

If they don't leave a message and hang up you would not know and it would be as if they had not phoned you.
