Talktalk safe browser

For the past couple of years I've been clicking the icon labeled talktalk safe browser, exactly the same icon as the talktalk supersafe app, today the browser icon changed to the supersafe app icon.

I can no longer click on and search in the safe browser has it's gone. I can't find it in the supersafe app, can't find it on the app store. I've been chatting to 3 agents on the talktalk chat page, all 3 a waste of time. I've uninstalled the supersafe app and reinstalled , but it's still not let me get the safe browser icon.

How on earth do I sort this out, anyone help please.

@John23john23 Thought I'd do a bit more research on this. It's not a TalkTalk decision but one that stems from F-secure themselves

 

This is the notice on their website. Seems they are forcing the use of Chrome for the same level of protection on Android and Safari on IOS.

Thanks for that, was beginning to think it was me. Why on earth the agents on the online chat don't know this I don't know. Nobody seems to know their job nowadays. Thanks again.

I managed to get the safe browser working just now, then checked for updates and updated the app.

 

the browser has now gone and it looks like it has been removed in the latest update.

 

I can't see any reference to this in the update notes in fact it's been removed from the tools available, so the new improved version the description mentions means it's gone.

 

Personally I never used this as the app gave real time protection without needing the safe browser.

 

I can only speculate as to why it has been removed so if you are getting nowhere on the phones, maybe leave a review on the app in the )pay Store and hope someone within the development team responds.
