My 4k box record button disappeared from the programme menu.
After checks from T/T it was decided the box was ok the fault lay with the 1TB USB, I bought a new one (£51) the problem persisted.
More chats and checks with T/T the box was blamed , they sent a new box which loaded up fine but after formatting the new stick and initialising it the problem persisted. At this point after more checks from T/T it was decided to send out an engineer.
Anyone else had this or anything like it or any ideas on a fix?

NB2 I've also noticed an error on the comparison page, which @Gliwmaeden2 referred to, which I have now raised with the forum manager, in the you can record on the 4k box and not just access via on demand

NB. For info, only the Netgem 4k box records, the Sagmcom Hub does not.

Whilst the 4k box will record to usb it is very limited in function as
Also, whilst 1tb is mentioned as being available, we've previously recommended up to 256mb as being the optimum.
Also eBay and Amazon are awash with fake usb sticks that say they are 1tb when in reality they are a lot lower and the box is very good at spotting these. It's recommended that these are purchased from reputable high street shops or supermarketsto ensure they will work. You will do have recourse to a refund, unlike the sites previously mentioned.
Reset the box without the stick inserted by pressing the button on the left hand side 5 times, then insert a stick of no more than 256mb and format.
This should then work.

The features list here doesn't mention the recording option as available for the 4K box:
