Keep getting sign in to BBC iplayer each time I try to use it since replacement DN372T fitted.

My old DN372T packed in - blank screen and no communication with remote controller. Replaced it with one the same known to be working. Each time I try to use BBC iPlayer I get the message to sign in using the 6 digit code on screen using my tablet. I try to sign in on tablet with the object of using the 6 digit code to register but as soon as I input my name & pw on the BBC tv web page I get the message thaqt I'm already signed in with no option to enter the 6 digit code from TV screen. Tried uninstall iPlayer from tablet and new install for iPlayer but no0 change. Tried reinstalling just about everything on DN372T but still no success. Can still get My5 on replacement DN372T so why not iPlayer?

Anyone got ideas or suggestions as to what needs to be done. Is it possible that I somehow need to pair my tablet with the DN372T?

Hi, Thank you once again. I'm back on iPlayer. I tried a) signing out and b) doing a factory reset on the DN372T box. Thus I cannot say which worked but I'm content that one of them did! Best rgds., Gary

I suggest you contact the BBC as this would appear to be a mismatch somewhere in their system.

 

Whilst the Iplayer is on YouView, it is only the delivery method for the BBC to provide the app to you. The BBC own the app.

 

3 things spring to mind to try and resolve this first though.

Try signing out of your BBC account. Then use the link to input the the code again and sign in when prompted.

 

If that does not work, go to settings on your box and try updating apps. Then try again.

Thanks for taking trouble to reply. Tried your suggestion and I was presented with a page where I could enter the 6 digit code from my TV screen(for a change) which I did but still the same old dance; it reverted to asking me to sign in and told me I was already signed in! The DN372T will still not play iPlayer from youview but I can get it on my tablet. I'm missing something somewhere.

Check you are going to the correct page to sign in as the iplayer link is .com.

 

Try this link https://account.bbc.com/account/tv  it's one I've used.
