Missing Freeview Channels on 4k Box

I just received the new 4k Freeview Play box to replace the older Huawei you play box. When setting up and scanning for channels it finds about 190 channels and scrolls through the list while scanning.

Once scanning is complete and I go to watch TV only channels 800-995 are showing under 'guide' and most of them are internet channels only 800 to 830 are freeviee channels. I'm missing lots of key channels that work perfectly fine on my old box. I've tried rescanning several times.

Can anyone help?

Hi

If you start your own thread (new message), we’d love to help.

We’ve found that posting in someone else’s conversation makes it harder to follow when looking for an answer.

It’s easier and quicker if we can chat with you in a single thread, if you start your own thread, that will keep our community organised and help others with a similar problem.

Check your home phone number or account number are also added to your Community Profile as that will really help us to find your details quicker.

Thanks

Karl

In relation to the main post: We seem to have all the channels but they are not showing on the guide i.e if I press 3 it gives me ITV, but 3 is not showing on the guide. Why is this? as only a few channels are listed in the guide but on rescan there were 178.

How is your box connected to the aerial?

Direct or looped through the TV (I e it goes into the TV and a lead from the TV to the box)?

It seems like the aerial is not connected to the box, or if it is something is preventing a signal getting through.

If it's connected directly to the aerial, test this lead by plugging into the TV to see if you get channels.

If looped through, to you need to turn your RF out to on in settings?

There is no loop through available plugging into the box. An HDMI will not pass channels either from the TV

The box needs a direct feed from the aerial.

Hope this helps.
