This is increasing my stress levels as every evening I go through the reboot and reset the talk talk through my settings. This evening, #no sound it just doesn't work 😔

Do you have a youview recording box or is it a small square box, that does not record?
Does itvx load and play a programme?
I'm just wondering given your comment on not having it very long.

Unfortunately the old youview boxes are approaching the end of life and the exhibit different issues as they begin to fail.
Factory resets can fix these issues.
Also some apps on the boxes, like ITV are no longer available and some may not perform properly.
Is it just apps you are losing the sound for or is it affecting the broadcast channels?
You say you have paired the remote. I assume this is to the TV so you could adjust the volume on the TV using the TalkTalk remote. It may be this pairing that is causing the issue.
Try resetting the box again, but don't pair the remote, instead use the TV remote for the volume on the TV and the TalkTalk remote only for contrling the box
Let us know if this makes any difference.
TalkTalk no longer supply these boxes and no longer offer swaps as they have no stock
You can phone to get a new TV Hub but please note this does not record and you will probably have to recontract to get one. There is also a £5 monthly charge to rent the box.

Hi,
Please help me, I've done a factory reset yesterday evening and all reverted back. I changed my batteries in my remote and re paired it to my talk TV box.
All ok, until just now, a notification saying remote unpaired, then paired but sound has gone again!
I'm so exhausted with it all, surely I don't have to factory reset every day?

I've had another evening of no sound so managed to do a full reset. I contacted live chat again for support, but yet again, waited and waited but no response until they closed!
The sound originally just randomly stops.
I've only just reset it so here's hoping the sound stays.
I also have the new 150 booster but it won't pair to my talk talk box. It's really stressful as I have noone to assist

Ive found the following direct link that should work for the YouView and TV Hub boxes using the dropdowns.

If its a 4k box, press the button on the left hand side 5 times in quick succession and the box should then restart in factory mode.

And which TV box do you have?
Youview, 4k or TV Hub?
When you say a reset, is this a full factory reset?
If not it's with trying to reset.
If it's a youview box though and you wish to keep your recordings, try the maintenance option allowing you to keep recordings.
If a 4k box and you use it to record, you will lose all recordings due to licencing issues as the box will seem to be a new box to the recording stick
