For help with your TalkTalk TV box, channels and apps.

I have been using the TV Hub for a while and on catch-up most of the time, when the adverts come on and then it tries to go back to the program afterwards, it leaves the App and goes back to the Guide. If I try to access the App directly after that it hangs with the buffer sign going round. I have to power off the Hub wait 12 seconds, power on and start again with selection from the guide. This then seems to work OK. It also does this if I go direct via the app and not the guide. Also when watching non-advert stations (eg BBC) it will quite often stop and revert to the guide before the program ends. I then have to go through the same process and power off and on again and reselect, skipping through to the end to see who done it. The end is always there on the second attempt. Whilst watching catch-up the program sometimes jumps a second of viewing. I have reset the Hub and the Router, with no change.
Is this a feature or a fault?

Hi, Thanks for the Factory Reset method, which I have done using the last method you suggested and followed the Wizard and re-entered all my sign-in details to the apps. I am now gradually trying the various catch-up apps and TV channels, which may take a while. I will advise if the problem recurs or appears to have gone away in the reset. Thanks again.

Hi there @Crusader301, please follow the instructions above and let us know how it goes. @fr8ys thank you.

Or you can follow these instructions
Unplug the power cable and HDMI cable and hold down front panel button . Now plug back in the power cable and HDMI cable whilst still holding the front panel button down . Once the Android recovery screen appears you can release the button and complete a factory reset and software upgrades.
After you’ve reset your box, you’ll need to complete the setup wizard by following the onscreen steps. You'll also need to download any apps you've previously added and sign-in to any app that requires credentials.

Hi Nambuso
As I said before, I have unplugged the unit and plugged it back in 12 seconds later and went through to Settings and Device Preferences. There is no Factory Reset selection on the menu only RESTART, which I have done now twice and after testing it over several days it eventually does the same as before reported of skipping and not staying after adverts on catch-up.
I tried to upload a screen shot, but it hasn't worked.

Hi, thanks for coming back so soon. I didn't do a factory reset, only pulled the power out and then plugged it to give it the old reboot!
I have not found factory reset in Settings, so i asked Google which directed me to Settings, Device Preferences, but I only found Restart. I have selected that and the box has reset going to the Youview logo. I have run a few tests, which seem to show it is working ok. I'll continue to test before closing this post. I hope Restart is the Factory Reset if not please advise where it is.
Thanks.

@Crusader301 please confirm if you attempted factory reset as @fr8ys has mentioned.

When you say reset the box, was this a factory reset?
If not, I suggest you try this.
