internet drop out

hi all, my internet sometimes drops out...was watching catchup tv last night for a few hours, twice during this my internet dropped out...white led on router changed to a flashing red...after a minute or so it went back to white and the tv continued...did it twice. the tv is connected directly to the router box, the router to master socket....any thoughts anyone?
