TALKTALK TV 4K BOX - APPS HAVE GONE !

Turned on my TT 4K Box this morning to catch up on programme - found that most of my apps are missing ....iplayer , itvx, ch 4, ch5 etc etc ...All the UK tv apps are missing ...

 

Checked for a software update and its says im up to date.. Nothing has changed , was watching itvx last night without any issues 

 

any ideas ??

Hi,

 

Not sure why this has happened @moorlander but I have heard of one or 2 going missing, usually ITV and All4 when the aerial connection has been lost.

 

The only way to get these back is to do a factory reset on the box as you can't add them yourself.

 

When performing this please ensure the aerial is is firmly connected to the box and note that if you use a usb yo record, this will lose it's recordings Tue to licensing issues as the set up will perceive the box yo be a different one.

 

You will also need to sign into the apps again

 

To perform the reset, press the button on the side 5 times in quick succession. This will reset the box and hopefully reinstate the missing apps.
