Dear Sir/Madam,
My talktalk was installed on 22 May 25. I did not notice that this did not appear to include a TV Hub box. This might explain why the reception was erratic. I contacted a local TV engineer who fitted a booster to my aerial as well as a booster linked to the TV itself - reception is now satisfactory. Can you accept this arrangement, or does use of non-talktalk components in the set-up contravene my terms of contract ?

If you are paying for Talktalk TV as a special charge in your billing, you should have one of their TV boxes, @paddyg.
If you are not paying for it as a billing item, it's simply mentioned as available in your package. It does require you to have a TV aerial anyway.
