@tony60 OpenReach have no effect on your TV signal. An issue with Openreach line would only affect playback of your apps like iPlayer and itvx.

Of you keep getting this there may be an issue with the aerial.

You could check the picture quality by placing the aerial directly into your TV and seeing if there is any picture breakup.

If it's intermittent, say when the weather is very hot, or when the rain is extreme, it most likely is caused by atmospheric changes as Freeview signals are know to be prone to this.

The 4k box is really designed to be a streaming box, with the added benefit if a tv tuner and limited recording function, as it is felt people these days prefer to watch their programmes at a time that suits them, via the apps on the box. Not me, I do a mixture of both.

Thank you Frey’s. This works fine. Don’t know what is happening with signal strength. They keep reporting it to open reach. No problem with all other channels.

Hi,

I'm assuming you have a 4k Netgem box. If so this is expected behaviour if the signal quality or strength is low. This occurs when using channels in the single digit range.

To overcome this use HD versions of the BBC channels in the 100 range. This also has the added benefit, if you have an HD ready or 4k TV, of better picture quality, as are the corresponding ITV, C4 and 5 channels in HD.

Hope this helps.
