You'll need to be connected to the internet to get the most out of all the features and benefits of your TalkTalk TV service. You'll find steps below how to check your connection for each of our TalkTalk TV boxes:
Connecting your TV Hub to your router will give you access to NOW , Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other On Demand players, along with some great features like Google Chromecast built-in, Google Assistant, Google Play Store Apps and Games.
If you're having problems using any of these you should check your Network and Internet Status. If you've changed your router and were connected via Wi-Fi, you'll also need to update your connection and enter your new Wi-Fi details.
You'll see all the Wi-Fi networks visible to your TV Hub and also if you're connected to one. If you need to join a Wi-Fi network, move down to the one you want to connect to and press OK on your remote. You'll be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi password and join the network.
Once you're connected, you can check useful information like signal strength and IP address by selecting your network and pressing OK on your remote.
Press the Back button on your remote to continue watching TV.
If your router is on and fully working and you don't see any Wi-Fi networks available, please reboot your TV Hub by turning it off at the mains and on again then follow the instructions above.
Connecting your TalkTalk TV 4K Box to your router will give you access to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and other On Demand players, along with some great features like Alexa voice control, screen casting and Apps.
If you're having problems using any of these you should check your Network and Internet Status. If you've changed your router and were connected via Wi-Fi, you'll also need to update your connection and enter your new Wi-Fi details.
Your connectivity status will be displayed as 'Connected' or 'Disconnected'. If disconnected, follow the steps on your TV to connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
When connecting your TV box to your Wi-Fi, you can only pick from the list of available networks displayed on your TV screen. You're unable to manually enter a networks Service Set Identifier (SSID).
If you're having problems watching any of your On Demand players or any of the channels you've subscribed to as part of your TV boosts, you should check your Network Connection Status.
If you're having connection issues whilst using Network connectors we would recommend restarting both. Simple as it sounds, often this can fix a connection issue.
Connecting your TV box to your router will allow you access to NOW, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video on your TalkTalk TV Box via the Players & Apps area.

If your TalkTalk TV box is displaying a DISCONNECTED status and you’d like to reconnect, or if you’d just like to change your settings, follow these steps:
If you select Automatic, this means you'd like us to auto-detect your network so your TalkTalk TV box will automatically set this for you.
