Hi
Anyone know why my bill was generated and taken out a week earlier than it normally does. My bills are usually generated around the end of the month and is set up to be paid for on the 5th of the next. This month however my bill generated on the 20th and was paid today the 29th a week earlier than is should. This effectivly means I was charged twice in August, fortunately I had the funds there in my account but I can not see a reason why this would even happen. A least it looks like my next bill will be generated at the correct time but an explanation for this error would be appreciated.

Early payment taken again should have 5/10 taken 30/9

@Lankey, allow me the moment to conduct an investigation and further provide you with the information.

To be honest that is a poor excuse as there is a bank holiday at the end of May and that had zero impact on bill dates. So why is August so special?

Hello there @theresajenkinson1. Please note that payment dates did change due to bank holiday which was in August.

Same here, their excuse was the Bank Holiday was early? Money taken on 29th instead of 5th Sept so hopefully next bill will run longer next time.

This is something that happens from time to time with Bank Holidays, TalkTalk do have an annoying tendency to amend their schedules accordingly. The only solution is to push your payment date a bit further forwards, although this will mean an adjustment in the month it occurs. You can do this in My Account:
