Bill more than expected after contract negotiation

Hi there,

Annoyed and a little surprised this morning to receive a bill for £31.67.

On the 13th of March I negotiated a new contract at a rate of £25.00 per month with a customer service advisor. I have a full transcript of this conversation so I'd like to know what's happened and why I'm suddenly being hit with a higher charge.

Can someone look into this for me?

Best wishes,

John.

Yes I did, I have the contract here. Apparently talking to support the order was processed and then "got stuck". I think it's being sorted out but thanks for both your quick repsonses.

@joh42mar

Have you checked whether your bill shows a package end date?

Also:

Renewals made in March were often offered with a waiver of the immediate April increase, though 2027's will still take effect.

Did you receive documentation from Talktalk confirming the renewal at the time, not just the agent's sayso?

The transcript proves the conversation happened but you should have contract information confirmed by email.

TalkTalk contracts generally have a price increase built in from 1 April each year, is that what has happened? If you want to discuss this further you will need to contact customer services directly, details in my link at the end of this post.
