Hello,
I just renewed my contract (Fibre 65) earlier this week following a discussion via chat about a slightly different topic. (I was interested in Full Fibre but it is not yet available in my street it seems and I wanted to check what would happen if I renewed my existing Fibre 65 contract and Full Fibre became available in the meantime)
My new (Fibre 65) contract is for 24 months, Fixed priced with an initial 3 months discount (the saved chat details reflect this accurately). The contract documents I believe also confirm what was agreed. I am however surprised that an administration fee of £30 seems to have been added as It was never discussed during the chat and was not mentioned in the contract documents I checked.
Would you please be so kind to check what happened here. I want to make sure there is no misunderstanding.
Many thanks
Laurence

You have a cooling off period within which you can cancel the new contract. I imagine if you contact the loyalty team again and point that out they may well show some flexibility on this fee.

Thank you for the prompt reply Phili,
Appreciated.
Happy to make contact again when my next bill is due. I would however like to point out 2 things for the records:
1) TalkTalk had sent me a renewal offer on February 3rd via email,
2) I contacted an agent via chat on the 24th February to clarify a few points before deciding on renewal, at no point during the discussion was there any mention that there would be an “early admin fee” for renewing.
Kind Regards
Laurence

@LaurenceD I have looked into your account and can confirm that the contract admin fee will be added into your next bill due to that the renewal was done whilst you were still in commitment and you previously had an 18-month contract and you were 14 months within the contract hence you were charged the contract admin fees. You are not charged the admin fee if you have 90 days or lower left in commitment. Can I ask that when the bill comes out next month you contact back to discuss the charges.
