Is a return bag required?

My TalkTalk service ended on 11 October due to a home move. When cancelling the service by telephone, there was a long list of terms and conditions about equipment returns, etc. And I provided my new address, expecting to receive a return bag (not the address currently listed in my old TalkTalk account). So far I haven't received anything.

I now see there's a general message on the returning equipment page stating that not everyone receives a return bag. If you don't get one, you don't need to send anything back.

But I prefer certainty. I'd rather know if I need to send my Wi-Fi Hub, back so that I don't later end up in a communication chain with customer services.

Thanks

Hi mccarrons

A request was made over the weekend so the bag should be with you this week.

That definitely would require sending back to avoid a fine!

I'll alert staff, @mccarrons.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.

Thanks. I've added the address in there. I'd certainly prefer to send items back if possible. My current Wi-Fi hub was barely 6 months old and still in perfect condition.

You can send it anyway but put your new address in Private Notes at the end of Personal Information in your profile, @mccarrons. Remember to scroll down to find SAVE CHANGES.
