@nomfezeko-TT

Subscribed messages are not being sent,

Is there a reason for this?

As this topic is now marked as solved I am locking it to prevent further notifications coming through and wasting any more of the support team's time.

Regarding the clutter that @Gliwmaeden2 was referring to,

all that TalkTalk Community clutter is now in a separate TalkTalk email account

There are no spam emails.

So, @nameunknown_ what do you think of my last comment?

Previously, you had said that you have 5 TalkTalk email addresses.

But 2 of them were different from the other 3.

What made the 2 different from the other 3?

Note also, @nameunknown_ , that I was not able to use my tiscali.co.uk email address, as the 'MyAccount' email address.

I had thought that TalkTalk might not consider tiscali.co.uk email addresses as legacy TalkTalk email addresses.

It looks like only talktalk.net email addresses are considered non-legacy TalkTalk email addresses.

On the other hand, all TalkTalk talktalk.net email addresses are really open-xchange email addresses.

Yes, all systems go, as far as this is concerned.

Thank you.

Quite possibly, but to me that is unexpected behaviour. Why would someone necessarily want to stop subscribing just because they changed their email address?

Clicking on Resubscribe just unchecks the 'Do Not Email Me' setting in the Email tab under Personal Profile.

Yes, I finally received my first proper message since the 1st July from TalkTalk Community notifications

I received your last message in this thread in my email address at talktalk.net.

Hooray.

Yes, that is the answer.

The page is at https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-subscriptions

That page showed the message 'Your email is currently excluded from receiving community notifications.'

When I attempted to copy that message, hidden at the end of it was 'Resubscribe'

While copying the message, it showed:

'Your email is currently excluded from receiving community notifications. Resubscribe',

the 'Resubscribe' part, acting as a normal link.

I clicked the link. And now expect to start receiving the notifications.

I will have to check.

Hi @nameunknown_

I think you might have the answer.

Which page contains the 'Do Not Email Me' setting? Do you know?

Have you checked that the 'Do Not Email Me' setting for your TalkTalk Community account is not ticked. You would not expect it to change just because you changed the email address, but you never know, it may have been changed.

'notifications from TalkTalk Community were still going to the Gmail email address

Well, I thought they might be. But maybe there were some odd ones that arrived a bit late. That's not significant.

Later, after setting MyAccount to talktalk.net, I set it back to gmail.com. And then after a day, I set it back to talktalk.net.

Since then which is about 3 weeks ago, I have not received any emails from  no-reply@community-notifications.talktalk.co.uk to talktalk.net

That's roughly the whole story.

I have said the forwarded notification emails were rejected, most likely because they appeared to be spam. There won't be any emails in the spam folder. As you say, the original notification is in the Gmail account Inbox, along with a further email from Gmail informing you that the email forwarded to the Tiscali account was rejected.

I haven't looked back through your posts, but I think  I recall you saying that after updating your TalkTalk MyAccount email address to a TalkTalk email address, notifications from TalkTalk Community were still going to the Gmail email address. If that is the case, then that appears to be another issue with the code for the TalkTalk Community, which is unlikely to be resolved.

Hi, @siphosethu-TT

In fact they have already been whitelisted.

But that is irrelevant, as, as I said above to @nameunknown_ , those emails are not being sent.

Hi, @nameunknown_

What you say is nearly correct.

But when gmail.com tried to forward the TalkTalk Community Subscription email notifications. back to tiscali.co.uk, the forward was blocked by TalkTalk's GMARC policy. And gmail.com responded to me internally in my gmail account, of the fact that those forwards were blocked by TalkTalk. Both the original email from TalkTalk community and gmail's internal response, remained in the Inbox folder, not the Spam folder. This started on the 1st July.

I let it run like this, leaving the TalkTalk community emails at gmail's Inbox.

After a couple of weeks, I decided to change my TalkTalk 'MyAccount' email address from gmail.com to talktalk.net.

A new effect arose. According to the rule, nearly all incoming talktalk.co.uk email addresses should end up in the current 'MyAccount' email address. They do, except those from TalkTalk community,

i.e. except those from TalkTalk Help & Support Community no-reply@community-notifications.talktalk.co.uk

So, no spams are involved in my case.

I am just not receiving those emails.

Please try whitelisting your emails that usually go to spam folders, this should help. Thanks

I believe that Gliwmaeden2 is essentially correct about the notifications from the TalkTalkCommunity being treated as spam.

In Gliwmaeden2's case these go to Gliwmaeden2's Yahoo email account Spam folder. Presumably Gliwmaeden2 is using a Yahoo email address for TalkTalk MyAccount/Community.

In your case, the notifications from the TalkTalkCommunity are being sent to your Gmail account, and then forwarded to your Tiscali account. However, they are being rejected back to your Gmail account. As it is only the notifications and not other forwarded emails that are being rejected, it is likely this is because they appear to be spam. I have already said this in a private message to you (to which I no longer have access, because it is on a previous Community account).

I don't usually have email notifications enabled, but I have temporarily changed my settings, and subscribed to this thread for test purposes. I will check which folder the notifications arrive in (on the TalkTalk email account I use for TalkTalk MyAccount/Community).

update at 19:01

The first three notifications arrived in the Inbox of my TalkTalk email account.
