No @CarolL1

However, please respond with the information I requested in my previous post, where @Michelle-TalkTalk asked me to help you. I first need to make sure that what you have is actually a switch, some manufacturer's claims can be misleading.

The information below is provided by TalkTalk, for confirmation please contact @Debbie-TalkTalk or@Michelle-TalkTalk.

Is there another option instead of a switch to add more usb ports to the Eero?

Hi @CarolL1

@Michelle-TalkTalk has asked me to help you. It would therefore seem like a problem with the switch, or the combination of your Hive and the switch, what/model is it? Do other devices connected to the switch work OK?

Hi CarolL1,

Would it be possible to test the Hive directly at the eero to see if this works? This will help identify where the issue lies.

Thanks

Michelle

Hi CarolL1,

Is the hive currently connected to the switch? If it is could you try connecting it directly to the eero and check if it then works

Hi

If you connect the hive directly into one port of the eero, and the switch into the other port, does the hive work then ?

Thanks

Karl.

Hi Karl,

I purchased a 5 gigabit switch and connected my hive yo the switch but the hive app tells me I'm not connected to Internet.  Everything else is working okay.  Where am I going wrong?

Hi

The EERO will only have 2 ethernet ports as many devices will connect over Wi-Fi  If more ports are required, you can purchase an ethernet 5 port switch for around £10 to allow you to connect more devices.

These can be purchased online from many retailers.

Thanks

Karl.
