The router is connected to the computer through an eternetnet connection as is the TV and my Xbox. None of these devices can get an internet signal thorugh the ehternet cables. I have tried switching them round but nothing is effective. The router is ok in respect of a wi-fi signal that the computer has now defaulted to.

I did log into the router and it said that Port 1 was ok but that Ports 2,3, and 4 were down.

I have tried switching cables, turning things on/off, but the problem remains.

I am thinking that the router has developed a fault somewhere along the line although it is barely a couple of years old.

Any thoughts?

Hi singtoeil

I'm sorry to hear this.

Have you factory reset the router using the pin hole reset for ten seconds?

If you have already tried this then we can send a replacement router for testing.

Thanks

Debbie

It may well be that the ethernet ports have failed. The support team can arrange a swap out for you, make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk landline number and/or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond.
