Hi,

 

For the last week now, every night between the hours of 7-11.30 my internet speed drops to around 1 mps. My guaranteed speed is 46 mps. I have contacted TalkTalk who emailed me over a list of things to try (turning router off etc) however none of these work

 

The rest of the day my connection is fine, however without anything changing and even with no devices using the connection, at 7-11.30 it drops to 1 mps. Wireless and LAN connection are both the same..

 

Help!?

Hi Chris,

 

Please see attached Chris. Average download speed 2.2 mbps, against a guaranteed speed of 46 mbps. Please can someone/ an engineer come out to look at resolve this or will need to look at cancelling the service as talktalk cannot offer the speeds they guarantee.

Again sounds like the same problem I have. I am pretty sure talk talk have a contention problem in Aylesbury most evenings and the problem is only getting worse.

OK thanks, could you check if this happens again tonight, and just run some speed tests around 7pm on the My Account speed checker - Run a broadband speed check with TalkTalk

It has been happening since 8th December. We have no Christmas lights

 

I do not have anything on a timer 😞

Does it coincide with any electrical device that's on a timer. Christmas tree lights are notorious for causing interference, as it only started a few days ago could this be the cause?
