Thank you for the feedback @steve_x99, well on our end we've not been made of any issue with our DNS servers, so I'd assume it was not a fault on our side.

Thanks, I've just checked and it is working ok now.

On the Sky forums, Sky say it is fixed.
There is some confusion as to whether it was a Sky fault or TalkTalk fault.

Hey there, @Fedup35. Are you still having the same issue? and @steve_x99  I'd advise you start you own thread as well so that we may also assist you.

@steve_x99

The DNS server that you have changed your DNS setting to (on a recommendation by another user) is the Cloudflare secondary DNS server (1001).

It is probably not the case that there is a fault requiring any investigation. Instead, it's likely just down to the TalkTalk DNS server update frequency, i.e. the frequency at which the DNS server queries the authoritative DNS server, instead of continuing to use a cached DNS record.

Google and Clouldflare DNS servers are known to update frequently, hence people use them in preference to their ISP's DNS servers.

TalkTalk is fine, when there are no issues, but getting issues resolved can be a real headache.
Incorrect information on TalkTalk help pages is unhelpful.

I have also had this problem since Tuesday.

This is reported by a lot of people on the Sky community forums.

There appears to be a problem with the TalKTalk DNS.
As suggested on the sky forum I have changed the DNS IP address in my Sky box which fixed it for me currently.

To change the DNS in my Sky+HD box it is...

Press Services.  Go to Settings, Network. Press Down.  Press green button for Manual IP configuration.
Press Down to go to DNS.  Type 1  Press right  Type 0 press right Type 0 press right type 1

Then Save

Are TalkTalk investigating?
