Once again I'm having problems with devices disconnecting from the internet. I raised this issue a while back, and the problem seemed to be fixed (or at least greatly improved by switching off "optimisation", which can only be done by Talktalk. But for the last few weeks, I'm back to phones, tablets etc losing connection for no good reason. Has optimisation been switched back on? I have no way to check.

Hi Debbie. Thought I'd leave it a few days to be sure, but yes, it's definitely better without optimisation.  Thank you.

How's the connection been since the WIFI optimisation was switched off?

Thanks

Interesting, as I had to do a router factory reset a few weeks ago.

Hi @Scotslider,

If you have performed a factory reset of the router, or if the router has automatically done a firmware update overnight, then Wi-Fi optimisation could have been switched back on.

The support team here will be able to check for you, and switch it off again if necessary, they will hopefully be able to respond tomorrow.
