I’m leaving the country on 12th February so sadly need to disconnect my broadband do I have to make a phone call or can I do it online

It sometimes helps to highlight salient points that could be missed when someone is rushing if they are leaving to go abroad, @ferguson.
And my main point is that the customer can in fact phone at any time that the phone lines are open, emphasising that phoning will be the better option, rather than Chat.
@2023#, Chat requires you to catch a phone call back. Phone support should be able to process this in one call.
The fact of it being a Friday afternoon has no relevance, as forum staff cannot process the request anyway, even when they are back.
The point is to get ahead with this as soon as possible, @2023#, as time is short.

@2023# it's best to phone [open 9am till 6pm Saturday] on 03451 720088. You will have to give 30 days' notice.
If you are not out of contract, there will be early termination fees to pay.
You must return equipment or be charged for it.
Make sure that you keep your Direct Debit in place or have means to pay when abroad, as billing can take a couple of months to sort out to get to your final bill for £0.00.

It can't be done online , and asking late Friday afternoon when everyone is on the way home and not due back till Monday.
