Does my Router need a Firmware Update?

I thought I sent this message earlier, so apologies if you get it twice.   I've been with TalkTalk for at least 10 years and had this router for a few years.

 

My Router is a Huawei HG633 and it I think it sort of works ok.  The Hardware is H.1.01 and Software is v1.20t and I can't see anyway to do an update - does it need one, please?

 

When connecting to my Router, I get the message about low security level, its a WPA2, is that ok or can that be made secure please?

Thanks Debbie, the new router arrived a short while ago, its now fitted and all working perfectly.  I managed to change the name and password so I don't have to change all the wifi logins throughout the house.  It also appears to be a slightly better speed.

 

Thanks for all your help, you've been very quick and efficient throughout.

Its been a very quick reply and much more effective than a phone call, so yes if I need a new router, please can you arrange.

Do you have my address details, is there a charge, and do you want my existing router returning?

Leave it switched on for staff to push through an update, @pjm5755.

 

They will be back on here during the day. 

 

You can't download the software yourself.
