EX shell, how to connect to internet

I am an ex shell customer who talk talk have taken over. When I was with Shell I was on a landline only deal. When talk talk took over I was advised that they dont have a  landline only option so I have been forced to pay £21 a month for broadband.

As I am paying for it, I would like to use it, so I bought an old router and tried to connect it. It wouldn't work. When I went on the chat service this morning, I was told that I need to get a router from talk talk. I asked how I go about this. After 2 hours and being transfered between 6 different people/ departments, I did not get an answer and I am none the wiser.

The problem is that I didn't have a router with Shell because I wasn't paying for Internet access. Now I have been forced to pay for it, I want to use it.

Can someone please tell me how I go about arranging this? I really don't want to spend another two hours on the chat thing.

Thanks

Sheila

There's not much support available on the forum yet for Shell Migration customers, @Sheila1936. though we hope it's coming soon.

For now you need to make sure that you are speaking to the Shell Migration team for support via phone  / Chat.

Forum staff are not back on here before Monday.

Gliwmaeden2, a fellow customer.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
