For queries about your TalkTalk broadband service.

Hello!
I have an existing Eero network that I own. I'm due to switch to TT on Tuesday, I have already received the two additional eero pro 6 from TT. While waiting, I added the two new devices to my exisiting network as extenders and they worked perfectly.
On Tuesday when I switch - Do I need to promote one of the talk talk routers to a 'gateway' ?
If I can just leave things the way they are, what authentication method should I use? PPPoE? DHCP? (I'm FTTP if that helps)
How do I apply TalkTalk version of Eero Plus to my existing network?
I fear I may have to reset one of the TT eeros and set up a brand new network to resolve all these queries, but as you can imagine, I'm not keen on recreating the whole network.
Thanks in advance!

Weirdly using them as extenders at the minute I haven’t seen any talk talk branding on them. Hopefully when I reset on Tuesday they’ll behave the way they’re supposed to.
Thanks for the info 🙂

TalkTalk eeros are locked to their service, as many buyers in third-party markets have sadly discovered to their cost!

Thanks for the info. Yes it’s FTTP
I’ll hold off until Tuesday when the line switches from BT and then I’ll be able to experiment.
Do you know if you factory reset a TalkTalk eero does it download all the branding etc again?

I assume you are on a Full Fibre service? The TalkTalk supplied units should be pre-configured, so one of those may need to be the main unit which you connect to the ONT. Setup is all done via the app. What effect this may have on your existing network I am not sure I'm afraid.
