Tried to connect to Azure SQL via SSMS through the FAST5364 Router. This can be achieved when changing the Firewall level from High to Medium. but Medium is not secure enough for me, does anyone have a config that would allow me to use the High Level with some custom Firewall rules added?
SQL Server uses TCP Ports 1433 and 1434 and UDP Port 1434
You do not change the firewall settings at all, you do it all via port forwarding:-
Then you'll have to allow these ports through the firewall on the PC hosting SQL server. From memory, configuration changes may also be made to SQL Server itself.
