Hi: long-time WFH network+systems monitoring specialist, using multiple concurrent RDP+SSH sessions. Have had occasional, intermittent RDP session freezes (and reconnection), but since TT upgraded firmware in Sagemcom FAST 5364 to SG4K10002829t have experienced frequent RDP freezes - usually after resuming usage of a session - almost as though a device in the chain has quietly dropped the session, so next few packets go nowhere. Have attempted to prove this with simultaneous Wireshark sessions at each end - but can't see evidence of new TLS session and RDP uses UDP. Almost every RDP session (on 2 different machines) does this now after a few mins of not being used - exasperating and a major productivity hamper.
However, continuous ICMP Ping from my machine to RDP and google.co.uk *has* shown 3-4 dropped packets to RDP but *not* to google, suggesting that the VPN session is being hampered.
When TT firmware first upgraded, TT did acknowledge some VPN clients had been affected by f/w upgrade: wondering if this issue is still there? Typically running 6-8RDP sessions + 2-5SSH sessions at once, as well as non-tunnelled mail/web/StackOverflow (!) web sessions.
Any ideas? Seen this elsewhere? Thanks.

Hi crustyg
Thanks for your reply.
If there is anything else we can do then please let us know.

Hi: the problem persists (although not quite as bad), and I'm using different connectivity. My focus has shifted to hunting for some pesky network enhancement driver that Dell or MS have installed which interferes. It's not my TT edge device.
Thanks for the follow up.

Not yet, please. I have an alternate testing strategy about to go into effect. If that doesn't work, then I'll ask , thanks

Hi crustyg
Would you like me to send a replacement router for testing?

Hi Debbie: it actually seems much worse *since* the firmware was upgraded - the 'new' firmware completely broke my switch/router, then you offered this f/w which re-enabled packets to flow, but the intermittent pauses/disconnections have worsened. It's almost as though keep-alives are being dropped.

Hi crustyg
I can see that your router firmware has been changed to a different version. Are you still experiencing this issue?
Thanks
Debbie
