Internet has gone down every day this week

Every day this week our internet has gone down. I was wondering if I could get a new router like the one we currently have (Huawei router).

We have tried those Sagemcom routers and they don't provide a strong enough signal to reach all of the rooms in our house. The Huawei routers do provide a strong enough signal for what we need.

Thank you.

@Joeycat909 We can send you a Sagecom router.

Yes, that is correct. Tried then returned the Sagemcom. Apologies for the confusion.

Yes, that it right @Anonymous it does not get updates. Okay @Joeycat909 thank you for confirming that. You might be having issues due to the fact that you are using a very old router.

Yes, we have had this one a long time. It was given to us by Talk Talk.

What is confusing the issue, @Joeycat909, is your initial mention of the Sagemcom routers.

So, did you try them but return them?

The Huawei routers haven't been sent out for a few years, and currently only Sagemcom is used.

Huawei routers do not now get updates of firmware, so this may be part of the issue now, @Joeycat909 / @Philile-TT.

But if you are more then 4 months from renewal, replacement routers are charged for unless the old one is actually faulty.

Okay, and that is the older router you received from TalkTalk?

I have 1 router only.

Please clarify, you have 2 routers or only 1?

The only router we have is the Huawei HG633. We don't have another router to try. The previous Sagemcom router was sent back to Talk Talk due to weaker signal to the upstairs rooms in the house.

@Joeycat909 what I mean to say is, have you tried using the old router instead and see if the problem you are experiencing with the new router is not there?

I don't know how to do that. Do any of these Sagemcom models have the AP isolation function? We use this function on the Huawei router we currently have.

@Philile-TT, is there a delivery charge in addition to that £25.00 for the customer?

It costs £25.00. Have you checked if there is stability when using that Huawei router.

The one we have is HG633. Is the super router not the same model as this one?

@Joeycat909 the Huawei routers are no longer available. The only Huawei router we have is the super router and compared to the router you have right now it is more of a downgrade.

@Joeycat909 Please note that you would be required to purchase a router if we send it out without any diagnostics test. As @Divsec has mentioned some routers are no longer available, I will check and let you know what we have.

Hi @Joeycat909 I do believe the Huawei routers are no longer supplied by Talktalk.

Your post has been escalated so the TT team can check your connection and advise on next steps.

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
