Hi wbaranski57

Please can you add your name and TalkTalk landline number to your Community Profile, we can then take a look at this for you.

Thanks

@wbaranski57 ,

You won't get compensation for slow speed, only for total loss of broadband and/or phone service.

Have you already reported the speed issue to TalkTalk?

Is the router sync speed slow or just the throughput?

If throughput, is it just WIFI or are wired connections to the router slow as well?

If you would like TalkTalk staff on this forum to help, it's best to make sure your forum profile is updated with your personal details and your TalkTalk landline number in order that they are able to identify your account (don't post personal details on the thread though). Also bear in mind that support on this forum is not "real time" and staff generally don't work weekends either so it may take a few days to get a reply depending on how busy they are.

I would strongly advise you not to cancel your Direct Debit in the meantime as failing to pay your bills will just get you into deeper trouble.

Also bear in mind that if you do wish to change to another provider, you will likely have contract breakage fees to pay if you are still in contract, and depending on where the fault lies if you move to another provider who uses the Openreach network you may still have the problem anyway.
