Good Evening,
Openreach worked on the pole outside our home today. Our landline is working but our broadband modem cannot now connect to the internet.
When we dial 17070 it gives a circuit defined number that's different from our landline number.
Should the circuit defined number be the same as the landline number?

Thanks for following up Chris. OpenReach engineer fixed the telegraph pole problem on Tuesday - everything is now working as it should.

Follow up by phoning them in the morning.
Post back here if it seems to be resolved.
Otherwise please just wait till staff reply (i.e. next week) before posting further. This thread needs to keep moving forward in the queue for attention and further posts will push you back in the queue, which could be considerable by Tuesday.

Me again,
The landline only works for calls out - incoming calls aren't being received.
Summary:
1. No broadband connection.
2. No incoming calls (but calling out is OK.

If you still need forum staff support, complete your community forum profile details with what should be your Talktalk landline number. Go via your avatar/name; settings; Personal Information. SAVE CHANGES.

When you dial up 17070, you should be hearing your normal landline number read back.
