Hi, 

 

I am trying to connect to a PPTP VPN to allow me to work from home but it would seem this is blocked by Talktalk, can any9ne help?

I think we are going to need to update your router's firmware. Unfortunately we are experiencing some problems at the moment with firmware updates but we can give it a try now if you like?

Hi Chris,

 

The message is:

 

'Can't connect to VPN.

The VPN connection between your computer and the VPN server could not be completed. The most common cause for this failure is that at least one internet device between your computer and the VPN server is not configured to allow Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE) protocol packets. If the problem persists contact your network administrator or ISP.'

What happens when you try to connect to the VPN, do you get an error message? Has it ever worked?
