I m looking to buy a router that I can use with talktalk but want to set up the router to use a VPN. Surfshark say you can set up a router to do this does anyone know a good router to get ?

They both look great but I can vouch for neither, please, please, satisfy yourself that they meet your needs. Even ask Asus, they  will be pleased to help.

I want to install the VPN on my modem  so then all my devices on my home network will be using the VPN

Hi @Stemanc sorry if this gets tedious but I'm trying not to be.

 

What are you going to use for the routing bit? 

Are you wanting all your devices behind the VPN or just one. 

VPN can be installed on the modem or router which means all traffic is private or VPN can be just on one device. 

I've done both and never had any problems with Talktalk.

Hi @Stemanc I've had experience with both Draytek and Asus. Keep a close eye on the capabilities, do you need a router or a router/modem?
