Router password

I have a Shell branded router, a VMG8825-T50. I want to change the router settings, but there was a sticker over the username and password on the router (I'm not sure why, the sticker had the SSID and wireless key on it which are also under the sticker). Peeling the sticker off left a residue, and when trying to scrape the residue off it also scraped of some of what was written underneath so I can no longer read the password. Is there another way to find out the password, or to reset it?

Would you be able to take a photo of the router label with the password and PM (private message) it to me

I was hoping to maybe change the password.

Is there really no way for me to access the router settings because they put a sticker over the password?

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have access to the router password. What exactly did you want to change in the settings?

It's a Zyxel VMG8825-T50. I recently moved fram Shell to TalkTalk when they were bought and I got the router when I was with Shell.

OK thanks. Does the router have a manufacturers name on it?

No, this is the first time I'm trying to.

Hi evuleitie,

Could I just ask, have you ever accessed the router setting before?

I've tried resetting the router and using admin as the password but it didn't work. I've also tried password and 1234. According to the manual the default password is the one written on the router label.

I said in my original post, according to Google the default password of this router is:

admin

Having been a TalkTalk customer myself for quite a long while, I have never seen one of these Shell-branded routers. So all I can suggest is that you reset the router to its factory settings and then the password should be:

admin

The username is admin, but I don't know the password. Presumably if I reset it to factory settings it will still have the default password it came with, which I don't know.

If it isn't admin, then you will have to reset the router to its factory settings. Presumably, there is a reset switch near the power connector for this.

But I don't know what the password is, that's the issue.

From a Google search the default password is admin. When logging in, please change this to a much more strong password of your own.
