I have had difficulty connecting to work vpn on my home wifi since last Wednesday.
I informed the IT crowd at work about this difficulty and the first thing they asked me was if Talktalk was my ISP so clearly this is a recurring problem.
I have eliminated other possibilities e.g. using a ethernet to my router (failed), restarting router (failed), manually setting up cisco (failed), using my mobile phone as a hotspot (worked however expensive way for me to work). It seems that firmware has been added by Talktalk to my router that has caused this issue.
If this cannot be resolved soon, I will be forced to look for alternate internet providers as working from home is a requirement at least one day a week.

Can you tell me which VPN Client you are using and the protocol - usually found under settings in your VPN Client.
