Hi,

since the last Wi-Fi hub update (maybe in November 2023) the Wi-Fi signal drops out completely quite frequently. Is there another update that can be sent to my hub to fix this?

thanks,

Graham

Good Morning Graham

I've checked the sync speed this morning and the line is in sync at 74.5mb.

How's the connection been for you?

The sync speed has increased already?

Hi

yes, no problem. I can see the sync speed is up to 78 already!

Hi Graham

Thanks for your reply.

Would it be ok to leave the router at the test socket for at least 48hrs without rebooting? (to see if DLM starts to increase the speed)

Hi Debbie,

Yes, it’s been around 27-28 for 3 days now. It’s never been below 70 before though, which is strange.

I have not plugged in the router to the test socket. I can try that if it will help.

Thanks,

Graham

Hi Graham

I've checked the sync speed again this morning and the sync speed is still at 27mb.

Did you connect the router at the test socket?

Hi Graham

I've checked and the WIFI optimisation is still showing switched off.

Hi Graham

There are re connections on the line and this can affect the sync speed.

Is the new router connected at the test socket? Would it be ok to leave the router at the test socket for at least 48hrs without rebooting? (to see if DLM starts to increase the speed)

Ok. The sync speed is normally 72. What could have happened for it to drop so much?

Hi Graham

The sync speed is currently 27mb so the throughput speed is always slightly less than the sync speed.

Hi

the speed is still around 25mbps on Wi-Fi, right next to the router.

Hi Graham

Apologies for this. I will check this again tomorrow morning to make sure that the optimisation is still showing switched off.

Thanks

Thank you Debbie.

yes, it was reset, but your colleague Chris said he turned off optimisation after that reset.

Never mind, hopefully it’s all fixed now.

Hi Graham

Apologies, it appears that the WIFI optimisation was switched back on. Was the router recently reset?

I have now switched the WIFI optimisation off again.

Thanks
