I have a copper-based broadband connection. On my PC connected by wi-fi to my router I am getting an upload speed of 0.83 (download 16.28). Is this normal?

Yes, sorry, I forgot there is a 1M cap on these.

@drscarb, on Fast Broadband that is absolutely normal.
I am on that package and upload speeds are rarely 0.90mbps. The maximum is only ever 1.
Your download speeds are also very good. @KeithFrench the 1/4 of the download speed for proportionate upload doesn't apply on this package.

Hi @drscarb
Normally, an upload speed on that type of broadband is about a quarter of the download speed, so yes, that would seem slow. Is this over a wireless connection from a device to the router or a wired (Ethernet) one? If you have a wired device, what speeds does that get? If you log into the router (you haven't said which make/model of router that you have). It should show the speeds it is recording from the incoming line; this is normally in the initial dashboard area. What are they like?
