VPN link that has been essential to working from home suddenly stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I have spoken to colleagues and read that lots of others have had similar problems and it appears to be the broadband router. My colleague was sent a newer talk talk router which he has leant to me to test on our line and it has worked straight away with the VPN. How do I go about getting this ?

Hi
I checked the vpn link last night (was my first opportunity as working away until then)
Your Firmware Update seems to have done the trick
Logged in and VPN worked immediately
Many thanks
J

Hi
Thank you for your email
Will I need to be present for you to do this ?
If not it can be done this afternoon and I will be able to test it later.
Rgds

Hi JR005
Apologies for this.
I will need to make a change to your router firmware. When would be the best time for me to do this?
We advise to leave the router switched on without being rebooted whilst we update the firmware. This should take no longer than 15 minutes to update.
Thanks
Debbie

Your issue is likely caused by a recent Microsoft upgrade which caused a few vpn issue. Tt have found a fix for this and on Monday one of the team will pick up your post and get you back online.
I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
