Valid characters for wifi password on a DG8401W

I use Norton 360 which tells me that my wifi password is too weak, my current password is 12 characters mixed case including numbers, I tried a # symbol which the router rejected as invalid so I'm looking for other characters which the router will accept. There doesn't seem to be any documentation on this or help on the router. Hopefully, someone can supply a list of valid characters otherwise it's either time to buy a different router which does support some special characters and comes with some documentation or change my AV software to one which isn't so picky about security.

Hi @webbew01
The replacement router is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.
Please let us know how you get on.
Thanks

Hi Debbie-TalkTalk, yes please assuming that the new router includes some non-alphanumeric characters which should satisfy the demands of my AV provider and stop it launching a VPN to protect me from my insecure home network. I assume I'll also benefit from reduced drop-outs as my existing router does drop it's connection at least once a month.
Regards, Ed.

That router hasn't had firmware updates for quite some time, @webbew01. It should simply be swapped out for the latest Talktalk Sagemcom.
Staff support will follow up after the weekend.
