Why is Fibre 65 the Same Price as Fibre 35 and Why Don't I Have the Option to go Back to Fibre 35???

Hello I'm out-of-contract since December of last year and I'm paying nearly £40 a month.  I changed to Fibre 65 from Fibre 35 near the end of 2022 after being on it since 2020, but before then I had the option of renewing my contract on it and paying £25 a month.  If I renew my contract with Fibre 65 I'll be paying £27 a month, but I don't understand why there isn't the option to select Fibre 35 and it be even cheaper because I don't need the speed.  I've been with TalkTalk since 2009.  It's my birthday on Saturday - LOL.  Anyway just wondered and not a nice try not trying it on.  Thanks.  Regards, Mark

Just to let you know I used the chat facility and successfully got my contract renewed for £25 a month.  Thank you very much to all.  Mark

Okay no worries Mark. Please do contact us back once you want to review your broadband contract and you can call in for the £25 deal to see if it's still available for you, only when you are ready for us to review your contract.

Thanks all for your help, but I probably won't be entering into any contract until a month or so to see how my situation goes first and I've checked out my offers in my account and I can get my current plan for £27 instead of the usual £28 so still a saving of around £10 for what I'm paying now while out-of-contract.  Will be happy paying £25 because was offered that in the past so will explain getting round it

@Mark Thompson, the price for Full Fibre65, rather than FTTC Fibre65, is £27.00, instead of £28.00.

They advertise Fibre35 at the same £28.00, but further down, in the small print, they don't even list Fibre35 at all!

You'll probably find they tell you they can't let you downgrade as a lot of these plans will be phased out in the next couple of years anyway, and replaced by Full Fibre.

This is the page with general deals for existing customers:

Definitely worth phoning in or using Chat to haggle as Fr8ys said. Let us know how you get on.

You might get it cheaper still with a phone call.

You can always say you'd like to think about it.

Okay thank you very much fr8ys and I'm looking for another job so if or when I can get another job I'll do that then because I've been told in the past it's best not to enter into a new contract until you're more stable.  Mind you £27 seems like not a bad price anyway and it's better than paying nearly £40 a month so sooner or later it'll probably be that or the other.  Thanks again for your advice.  Regards, Mark T

Hi,

Deals change all the time as does the pricing.

Renewals and pricing cannot be conducted on the forum.

You'd be best to phone the loyalty team to discuss options as they hold the best pricing deals, and clarify the speed question you have.

Try phoning 0345 172 0088
