The correct way to extend a Sagemcom FAST5364 or 5464 router is via a Sagemcom FAST266 WiFi Booster, which forms a mesh network with the router.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - TalkTalk Help & Support

Is this the TalkTalk WiFi Extender? If so it does have a bug in it where the throughput drops to next to nothing on the WiFi, but the Ethernet connection remains fine. What make/model of router do you have?
