Account version out of date

Hello. I am receiving emails and not sure if genuine of spam. Says my account version is out of date and after. Nov 10th I will no longer be able to send or receive emails. Requests that I click a link to upgrade. 
I have seen that stand alone email accounts are to be charged for, but I have broadband too so thought I did not need to do anything.

Should I follow the link.?
