Bouncing emails and Spam

I have 2 problems. First, I receive ‘Neighbourhood Alert’ emails from Dorset Police which I forward using BCC to 21 residents of our estate. Several have btinternet address and these are being bounced as possible Spam. I get a ‘Undelivered Mail Return to Sender’ email which says “This is the mail system at host mx-out.tt.xion.oxcs.net.” which I assume from the ‘tt’ is part of your system. The further details say “<email address removed by me@btinternet.com>: host mx.bt.prod.cloud.openwave.ai[65.20.50.207]

SPAM (in reply to end of DATA command)

Is there anything you can do to stop this problem from recurring? I have tried emailing postmaster@btinternet.com but get no response.

My second problem concerns the amount of Spam I am receiving, several each day. If you look in my Trash box (assuming you can access it) you will see a number of suspicious emails. This problem seems to have started fairly recently. Do you have a Spam filter at your end which is not working correctly?

Could you please tell me the last part of your email address? This is the section after the @ symbol.

For example it might be talktalk.net or tiscali.co.uk.

No, I don't, but I have sent the emails to phising@talktalk.co.uk so you should be able to see them.

I am ready. What do you need from me? Have you flicked a switch at your end as I have not had any phishing\spam emails for a few days?

Thanks for your message. Yes, please go ahead and investigate. If you don't have access to my trash folder you could look at the phishing\spam emails I have reported in the last week.

Hey there, Cestrain42. We could address this in two ways, first is to run checks from our end as to why you can't send emails. And secondly, we will need to identify those spam emails, whether they are from the same source or not then we will also escalate that for you. When you are free, please do let us know and we'll begin checks.

Hi @Cestrian42 your post has been escalated and you should hear soon.

TT seem to have had more than their fair share of email issues lately, one suggestion is to setup a non ISP related account. Gmail, Hotmail even proton mail all offer free services far more reliable and portable.

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
