I have recently lost access to my TalkTalk email account on my Samsung mail app on my mobile. I have updated all the advised IMAP server settings in line with TalkTalk's requirements and still get an error to the effect that POP3/IMAP access is not enabled on the account...

OK. I have asked one of TalkTalk's support to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.
They aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday - Friday), excluding Bank Holidays, but if more urgent, you can always try the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first.

Thank you Keith, I know everything as regards to settings is correct, in past topics through various reasons talktalk can block your imap access and they advise you need to contact them to turn access back on, this is what I'm trying to do, thank you for trying to help.

I don't see how IMAP has been blocked on your email account. I assume that you are trying to use IMAP & not POP3, as they are different. I am not familiar with the email app that you are using, but if you can PM me (to protect your privacy) screenshots of your email configuration from the app, I will check them for you. A lot of email apps require a manual setup for IMAP, is this what you have done?
