Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

I’m having the same problems as a number of other users. I thought I had updated my settings but received talktalk’s email saying I hadn’t done it and now can’t access emails via the app or on my laptop - I get a "Cannot get mail, no password provided for "TalkTalk" " error message. I can access using webmail.
Please can I have access fully restored on my app?
I can confirm that the Incoming & Outgoing settings are as they should be.
I’m using iphonexr with iOS 16.2, iPad Air 2 with iOS 15.7.3 and Thunderbird 102.7.2 on Windows 10 pro
Thank you.

Hi Ady,
I still cannot connect to my TalkTalk mail account from my ipad through the mail app. I have now deleted the mail accounts from my iphone & laptop, & have double checked that the settings are correct on my ipad, which they are; however, I am still getting the "Cannot get mail, no password provided for "TalkTalk" error message.
Has the account been restored or do I just need to wait a bit longer?
Thanks

Thank you Gondola for the prompt reply.
I updated the iphone & ipad settings a while ago, but the laptop was updated more recently; when I lost connectivity through the app, I checked the settings and can confirm they are as they should be. I suspect therefore that you are right that the TalkTalk action to remove device access was triggered by the late update of the laptop.
Thank you for asking TalkTalk Support to restore access on the basis that the devices have the secure settings.
I have updated the notes in my community profile.
Thanks again

Did you only just recently update the settings? All the devices / software are capable of secure mail using TalkTalk recommended settings. It's possible, if you only just updated the settings, that the TalkTalk action of last resort to remove device access was already scheduled. Or you've missed a device or device setting or mail collection service that's connecting to your mailbox insecurely.
The offer is here to check the settings with you. I'll ask TalkTalk Support to restore access on the basis that you're sure all services/devices are set up with secure settings.
