Can't change email account login details

I'm having trouble receiving emails to one of my email accounts (beginning mhcu55). the error message is:

 

"The entered credential or authentication information does not work or are no longer accepted by provider. Please change them."

 

I can't find anywhere to change these details. Help?

Hi Ian

 

I assume you're seeing the error message top centre of screen when signed in to TalkTalk Mail? Sign in using a browser in desktop mode.

 

  • Select the main settings menu cog icon top right blue header
  • Select All settings from the menu
  • Select Accounts in the left side panel
  • Select Edit for the relevant account
    You'll see an Edit window
  • Scroll down and Update the password for the incoming / outgoing server
  • Ensure the incoming server is mail.talktalk.net and outgoing server is smtp.talktalk.net
  • Incoming port is 993 and outgoing port is 587
  • Incoming mail connection security is SSL/TLS and outgoing mail connection security is StartTLS
  • Select the Save button
