Contacts - Groups

How can I find the groups I have set up in mycontacts list, and how can I set up a new group. The 'Groups' section has disappeared from the Contacts menu since the latest upgrade

You said in post 1 that the 'Groups' section has disappeared from the Contacts menu since the latest upgrade.

In the new TalkTalk Mail upgrade the menu is:

• Address Book (from the blue header bar)
• New
• Add distribution list (from the New drop-down box)

If you're not seeing that then please post a screenshot of what you're seeing using the Photos icon above this reply area. NB Don't use Quick reply or that won't work.

Obscure any personally identifiable contact details before posting the image. I just need to see we're talking about the same new TalkTalk Mail.

Sorry Gondola - no help at all. Can't find any referfence to Distribution list ANYWHERE in my email menus

This is what I see in the new TalkTalk Mail when I select the Address book.  In that Contacts list I have TalkTalk Group listed in alphabetical order and this has a sub-heading of Distribution list.

There are no sub-headings under 'Contacts' and 'Distribution list' does not appear under D. All I can get now from Contacts is an alphabetical list of all my contacts.Plus, when I open 'Contacts' all menus disappear and to return to the main talktalk mail page I have to click the back button at the top of the screen

Hi @marfar1

To set up an Email Group from existing contacts in classic TalkTalk WebMail:

• Login to TalkTalk WebMail
• Select Contacts in the left side panel
• Select Add group, under Contacts
• Create the Group name
• Under the Group Members heading you'll see a box called Available Contacts:
  From that box select the contact to add to the group
  Select the upper of the two double chevrons (right arrows)
  That will move the contact from the Available contacts box to the Assigned contacts for the group
• Continue adding contacts
• Select the grey Save button

In the new TalkTalk Mail the Contacts Group is called a Distribution list.  You'll find your previously defined Contacts Groups in the alphabetical Address Book Contacts list with a sub-title of Distribution list.

To create a new Distribution List (group email) in new TalkTalk Mail:

• Login to new TalkTalk Mail
• Select Address Book from the blue header bar
• Select New and then from the drop-down menu
  Select Add contact or Add distribution list
• In this example, select Add distribution list
• In the new window
  Give the Distribution list a name
• In the Add contact box either add contacts manually or
  Select existing contacts - Select the Contacts icon on the right side of the box
  In the Select Contacts pop-up window
  Tick the box to the left of each contact you wish to add to the Distribution list
  Select the blue Select button
• When complete select the blue Create list button at the bottom of the page
  You'll get a confirmation window appear
  The Distribution list will appear in the alphabetical list of Contacts
