Since Southern Water were hacked we have been receiving a lot of phishing emails from different email addresses with offers, e.g today one offering a cheap ninja from Sainsburys. Scam protection, virus alerts are switched on. Experian told us after the Southern Water fiasco that someone was trying to guess our email account password but they could not crack it. The last couple of days we have received about 10! All have been marked as spam. What should we do?

Hi @Jolylo not a lot you can do really other than never reply and be super careful with what attachments you open. They don't need your password to send you emails, nor is it difficult to change your password if you do feel the need to do so.
https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/Changing-your-email-password/ta-p/2556067 tells you how.
I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
