My email has been hacked today for what appears to have been a short space of time. I have changed my password and it doesn't look like much activity has taken place, do I need to do anything else?

Phone lines are open today until 6pm, @Mdhavkedoff.

Everyone should have a fallback email address for use in such situations so that it's possible to set up a new password etc.

A Hotmail  / Gmail / Yahoo etc account is worth setting up so that you are not completely stuck.

Try again with 03451 720088.

If you still need forum help, staff will respond after the weekend, but only to your own thread.

Please return to the message board and click on start a topic of you need further help on the forum.

Hi Stuart82, there are no filters or forwards showing so you should be ok. I would say be sure to run a full anti virus and malware scan on all your internet connected devices. Once that's clear reset the password againthis time use a password you've never used before on this mailbox.

Hi @Stuart82 not a lot you can do other than cross your fingers. Might be worthwhile setting up an ISP independent fall back email account just in case?

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
