I was made to change my account email to a non Talktalk one. Now I have lost all my history in the community,
Also why was I made to use a non TalkTalk email?

I have added information. Will see what happens. I was not aware of the email change. Just suddenly lost access to MyAccount 3 weeks ago.

No, @Billx I'm not privy to corporate TalkTalk figures unless in the public domain. Like you, I'm a customer.
I believe it's an on going thing and done in batches, so sooner or later those who sign in infrequently will be caught up with and have to change.

Do you know what portion of 'MyAccount' usernames have NOT been changed to non-TalkTalk email addresses?
I had previously assumed that they had all been.

TalkTalk have for a few years now required login id's to be non TalkTalk emails for security reasons.
This is the case for My Account and now that the forum is linked to my account, is presumably where the change has occurred.
If you complete your profile and add your previous forum name in the private notes field, staff will be able to look into this for you on their return next week.
